This will be our largest signature fundraising event of the year benefiting Guide Dogs for the Blind’s (GDB’s) life-changing mission. Funds raised will be directed to GDB’s world class programs and services, including a lifetime of support to our clients.
To continue to make a profound difference in the lives of people who are blind and visually impaired and expand our programs’ reach, we’re stepping up our efforts this year and are excited to launch our Top Dog Fundraising Contest in the week’s leading up to our Holiday Luncheon.
This fun and easy fundraising contest encourages teams of all sizes to rally together to raise vital funds that will help empower individuals who are blind or visually impaired to live the life they want to live. Whether you are a petite powerhouse team with a handful of well-connected fundraisers or a large pack of people that get the job done by engaging numerous small donors, your fundraising has the power to change lives. Your team’s mission is simple - raise the most money possible to earn the bragging rights of Top Dog!
Campaigns and the leaderboards kick off on November 1, 2024 and all teams will have 6 weeks to activate their networks, get the word out, and watch the funds roll in! The fundraising team that raises the most money will be named the Top Dog!
To qualify for the Top Dog Award, funds must be raised by December 12, 2024 at 11:59 pm PT. The Top Dog Award will be revealed during our 48th Holiday Fundraising Luncheon on December 13th.

How to Become the Top Dog
Fundraising for the annual Holiday Luncheon is easy and fun!
Step 1
Register your team and recruit your teammates by October 31 to maximize your chance of victory. The earlier you recruit, the better. Share why supporting GDB is important to you with a story, photo and/or video.
Step 2
On November 1, fundraising begins! Start spreading the word by reaching out to friends and family by email, social media, texts, or phone calls and ask them to donate (or join your team). Leave no stone unturned.
Step 3
Monitor the leaderboard and keep raising funds through December 12. Ask, ask, and ask again! Remember the incredible impact you’re making on the lives of people who are blind or visually impaired!
